Do one activity for your assigned spelling words. Take your time and do not rush. Be sure to do it in your RED notebook. Try to choose a new activity every week.
Create a code for each letter of the alphabet. Then write each word using your new code.
Write a riddle for each of your words. Include an answer. Ex: I am red. I make a pie. Answer: I am an apple.
Write each word TWICE with your dominant hand. Then write each word with your opposite hand TWICE.
Use your spelling words to write a story. The words may be out of order.
Write your words in ABC order 3 times each. Try to write them in different colors.
Try to form new words by changing 1 or 2 letters.
Ex: cat -> bat
Fish -> fist
Sort your words into categories (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.)
Create a word search using your spelling words. Highlight them when you are done. Use graph paper. (available online)
